yes domain age affect seo. if you ask which is better whether old domain or new one, old one will be the choice of 99% people. in the eyes of Google old domain ranks high than the new ones since old domains are in use for long time and they serve people for long time. old domains avoid indexing. you can easily promote your site in search engines when your domain is an old one. old domains acquire a good incoming links too. old domains site are of good content. so old domains is better than new ones. you can over come this that you can register your domains a few months before you start on. i registered my site domains before few months and then i created my site. i bought the domains from WhoisXY.com
