HELP! Frequent self assigned ip errors

alright, so i'm running snow leopard i have a wnr2000 netgear wireless n router and a late 2008 macbook pro. ever so often i get a self assigned ip error and when i shut the modem off and back on again things are jolly until it happens again. i tried renewing the DHCP under the settings but that...
