Win32 heur removal help

Hi A few days ago AVG found win32 heur and claimed to have cleaned it. However, since then the computer has been really slow, and has been having trouble loading Windows on start up (the computer would load the bios and then the screen goes blank), so I am not sure the problem has been fixed.
