Installing ubuntu on a newly assembled desktop but with no monitor

hi all, help please ! here is the situation, i work in research and recently assembled a new computer (corei3+asus-h55 based board) and hope to use only via ssh (so did not buy a screen). i have a laptop, but do not yet have a screen for the desktop. could you guys give me some pointers...
