Enabling syslog on cisco router..

hi all, I have enabled the syslogs on my cisco router and accordingly made the neccessary changes on my firewalls but still i am not getting any syslogs on my NMS. I need to know how to check on the cisco router that the syslogs are being generating or not . cheers
