why are Twitter pages getting such high PR so easily?

I see alot of pr6's, and twitter pages I set up and didn't have time to post anything on or just a post or two are sitting at PR4.... what is google doing with that? I realize the links out will be nofollow so the pr is kind of useless, but why is google giving so much love to twitter when real...
