Which has is better, the short name with low traffic, or long name with high traffic?

This is a classic trade off. Thoughts on this? I sometimes feel the shorter domain name, which is an exact keyword match with lower monthly searches (say around ~250k) is better than the longer keyword matched name with higher traffice (say ~10-50MM/mo). By short I mean less than or equal to 6...
