.US Can a non-US resident/company renew a .US domain?

The registrar I'm currently with does not allow non-US-residing corporations/people to register .US domain names. I don't live in the USA, so this causes a problem for me. I'd like to know if, I buy a .US domain name that is already registered (from another person) if I will be able to renew it....
