Is Yahoo directory worth it?

I'm thinking of submitting one of my sites to the Yahoo directory, but the $299 a year fee is a bit steep. What has been your experience with them recently? I remember submitting a site to Yahoo some 14 or 15 years ago. It wasn't even a very good site. The submission was free and it took them...
