ubuntu server help

hello im trying to install the ubuntu server edition but it wont boot.. iv downloaded 4 different ubuntus and only the desktop editions boot for me how do i install the server edition??? P.S. i searched the forum and couldnt find an answers if this question allredy came up pleas post a link ...
