dropped instant messages in messenger for mac v. 7.0.2

I seem to have issues with not all of my instant messages going through. ( about 4 minutes after the fact, I get a notice saying the message could not be sent.) My contact's messages do not all reach me either. As you can imagine this is a real conversation killer. As far as I can tell, it is...
