preserve/retrieve downloaded text file "date of creation"?
 

Hi, Is it possible to preserve or retrieve the date of creation of a text file that has been, say, downloaded from an email attachment? I know some types of files have a format-dependent timestamp which is independent of file attributes, i guess (if i'm not wrong) my question boils down to, is...
