PPC marketing for new start ups

is PPC a viable option for new online start ups, lets say you have a 1000 dollars, is it wise to use the money on PPC or SEO?

It takes more time to see the fruits of your labour in SEO. However it is more sustainable. If you have a solid value proposition and product, PPC is better for quick sales and growth.
