Acer Aspire T100

My daughter did a windows update (XP) to her computer shut it down now it won't do anything. No fans run and it appears to be dead. Righy after the update it would start for about 6 seconds then shut off. Any ideas what is wrong? It is about 6 years old. I believe a P4 Thanks
