What's the difference between PPC and affiliate marketing?

I have heard that PPC and Affiliate marketing are good for online business. I would like to learn about both, PPC and Affiliate marketing. Can you suggest me good tutorials or books of PPC and Affiliate marketing.

PPC is pay per click, the advertiser need to pay money for his Ad in google, which is clicked by used. for every click they need to pay google.

Affiliate marketing is a marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's own marketing efforts.

PPC is just what it says, you get paid for each qualified click of a banner or ad you place on your website, whereas Affiliate marketing generally pays you a commision based on sales resulting from a click from your website.
